Examination Courses - AIL Diploma

The Leonardo da Vinci School in Florence boasts being one of the founding partners of the Accademia Italiana di Lingua (AIL), the association that certifies the level of Italian language reached with the “Firenze” Diplomas.
At our school, it is possible to take these AIL exams at four different times throughout the year: in the spring, summer, autumn and winter sessions.
The AIL Diplomas, recognised and used for their reliability in various countries throughout Europe, closely reflect the guidelines set out in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. They respect the required structure and are based on the 6 reference levels as set out in the guidelines.

Beginner Level: DELI A1 & DELI A2
Intermediate Level: DILI B1 & DILI B2
Advanced level: DALI C1 & DALI C2

There are also two levels for Business Italian:

Intermediate Level: DILC B1
Advanced level: DALC C1

The course to obtain the AIL certificate always begins the month before the exam date and consists of 80 lessons of Italian language plus 40 for exam preparation - practice tests, listening and oral tests - for a total of 120 lessons.

Participants: min. 3 - max. 14 participants per group; should there be only one participant for a course/level, she/he will be given 20 lessons of Intensive language course plus 3 lessons of private tuition per week. If there are only two participants for a course/level, they will receive 20 lessons of an Intensive language course plus 5 lessons of private tuition per week. 80 lessons of intensive language course and 40 lessons of examination preparation; Total 120 lessons in 4 weeks. Examination fees are included in the course price. Recognized as “Bildungsurlaub”. A €70 enrollment fee valid for 12 months must be paid for any enrollment.
