What to do in Florence

what to do in your study holiday in florenceThere is so much to do in Florence and as we say here: you'll be spoiled for choice!

For those who want to meet new people and mingle with young Florentines and not only, you should attend the stunning historic bars in the most important squares at “aperitif” time, a real trend!
From 6.30-7pm onwards, it is customary to drink an aperitif with friends, which is often accompanied by a rich buffet: it doesn’t cost much and you can sit as long as you want. But be warned: you pay by the glass

Instead, maybe you would like to enrich your cultural background? Nothing could be easier in a city so full of monuments, galleries, including one of the most famous in the world, the Uffizi Gallery! And from which, by passing along the Vasari Corridor, you can find yourself in the Boboli Gardens: the gardens of the Pitti Palace!

In Florence you can admire paintings and art works by the most famous artists: Michelangelo, Brunelleschi, Leonardo da Vinci.... and risk a real ‘overdose’ of art! Be careful of the Stendhal syndrome!!!

Don’t forget that Italian fashion also started here in Florence and here we have the ‘twin sister’ of New York’s Fifth Avenue: the Via Tornabuoni. There you will find the most prestigious names, including Gucci, Ferragamo, Armani, Pucci etc...

But if prices seem prohibitive just close by are various department stores, including the well-known ‘La Rinascente’, where on the 5th floor there is a terrace to enjoy a snack with a stunning view over Florence!

And for the evening? There's something for everyone! Theatre, opera, cinema, nightclubs... Florence has the advantage of not being a large city and so if it's late and the public transport services have stopped, everything is easily accessible on foot.
